The product is definitely easy to work with. However, choice of sample sites is limited and unsuitable for most applications. It is impossible to add e-commerce features if one is not located in a region of Great Britain.I have used this product before about 10 years ago. It is very easy to use and it gives you many features and the flexibility to design your site however you want. It had its own FTP and comes with a manual.Probably one of the easiest webpage builders I've ever used. Comes with about everything you need to design any type site. Not difficult to learn. Connects to linux servers well for uploading the sites. You can also use thier features and host with them which includes more features.My website has been getting into business. This software really helped out allot. I really enjoy Web Plus Essentials. It's the best.It's cheap, worth a look. For me not so good. You'll have to make up your own mind.Very good programs for noviceI fully admit, that I have been having a lot of problems with this product. Now, I'm not going to blame the software exactly. I have NO EXPERIENCE, none, either with setting up a blog, or creating a small site for a page or two, or making a bulletin board. In fact, most of my computer experience has been on MACS. WEBPLUS installs fine, tho i had to install it twice. (IT has a program that pulls your first attempt out of your computer, if you made a mistake somewhere along the way.) It was after the instillation, that I got lost. After much playing around, I was able to get a painting I made onto the first page, and some writing on it for a "HOME PAGE", but lost the work cos I didnt know how to save it. The PAINT program isnt intuitive, as much as you might think. Moving images, music, etc from your computer's HD, into the WEBPLUS program, takes quite a bit of time, trial and error, at least from my experience. Finally, after a LOT of effort, i just got too frustrated and quit.IF you have little or no experience setting up a website prior to this, or a blog, etc, you could be getting in over your head. I think someone who understands computer programming on some level, along with prior experience making web sites, along with knowledge of paint, word, and blog programs, should have the proper foundation to pursue a WEBPLUS selfmade website. Consider having the proper experience, as important as having the compatable hardward to run the software. If you have little or no experience buidling websites, you might want to find someone to walk you thru this, so you're not overwhelmed. The programmers of WEBPLUS assume a certain amount of knowledge on the part of anyone downloading this product. For example, you need to understand web site "HIRARCHIES", like the HOME PAGE branches into your main themes, which also branch off, etc. (And thats the FIRST step!) There are books around about web site design, that a total newbie might study, before they buy this program. YOU HAVE ONE YEAR AFTER PURCHASE OF PRODUCT TO USE THE VOUCHER CODE BEFORE IT BECOMES OBSOLETE. SO HAVE YOURSELF EDUCATED BEFORE YOU BUY THIS PROGRAM. If you spend a lot of time figuring out how to use this program after you buy it, you'll use up all your time WEBPLUS gives you for posting your website on the net. BOTTOM LINE, if you have prior website experience, this seems to be a good website program. Its only because the advertising around this product infers that creating a website with WEBPLUS is VERY EASY, that I took off a couple of stars. I would have appreciated a better tutorial program, maybe even an instruction manuel, instead of being told that everything is intuitive. The video I saw on the program's home page, zipped thru some of the program's assets, without explaing how to navigate to and from those assets. A PHYSICAL manuel of some type would have helped, so you wouldnt need to keep searching thru topics lurking behind the program's help button.I've been struggling with this product for several MONTHS. I boot it up, start using it, and then say "NO. I'm NOT going to recommend Serif, no matter how good the product might be."Here's why:Serif has a unique marketing / product registration process. Once you've purchased a Serif product, you MUST call a toll-free number to register it and receive your product key code - you need it in order for the product to run. You're actually connected to an - ahem - "Customer Support Specialist" in Nottingham, England (Serif's home base.)Before you get the product code, you are subjected to THE, and folks, I do mean THE hardest high-pressure-close, hold-a-gun-to-your head sales pitch you've heard since the insurance industry came up with the Whole Life Policy. IT IS UTTERLY DESPICABLE - they don't take "NO" for an answer; they are RELENTLESS.You say "But wait a minute Mark... I'm confused... I ALREADY bought the product... what are they trying to sell?" EXACTLY! Can you say UPGRADE? There's nothing inherently wrong with their extending you the offer. But when you say "no, thanks", they should simply leave it alone. But they don't.And it becomes INSULTING both to you as a Customer, and frankly to Amazon. Here's why: They begin by offering you an upgrade that's priced identically to what the "deluxe" version product sells for at Amazon. In other words, you bought the entry-level version. The price you paid for it + the price of the upgrade = Amazon's price for the "deluxe" version.But the longer they keep you on the phone, the sweeter the deal gets. These guys just plain wore........ me......... out........! I finally said ENOUGH!!!, and bought the upgrade at a ridiculously low price.The entire process left such a "bad taste in my mouth" that I simply have to say "NO." I CANNOT possibly recommend this product, so I'd be a HYPOCRITE to use it. First nice day this Spring, it's going the way of the yard sale.I did get a little deeper into this program than I'd like to admit, and I tend to agree with the folks who gave it just one or two stars.
